IV room workflow management system comparison [table]

There are basically four IV room workflow management systems that I’m aware of: DoseEdge by Baxa, Pharm-Q In The Hood by Envision Telepharmacy, SP Central Telepharmacy System by ScriptPro and Phocus Rx by Grifols. Here’s a little table I’ve put together comparing them based on what I know.

Jerry, our little hospital system has gone all in on dose-edge, I’ll keep you posted as we roll out and implement. Crossing our fingers to avoid the over promise and under deliver

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the system, Keith. So please feel free to drop me a line any time you like to discuss your experiences. I’ve heard nothing but good things about DoseEdge. I haven’t met anyone that uses any of the other systems so my knowledge about them is quite limited.

Hi Keith – How has DoseEdge been working out for you? Pros/ Cons? Thanks

    Hi Chris –

I’m not sure when Keith will respond, but I know that his facility decided not to go with DoseEdge and instead use the Dispense Preparation functionality inside their EHR (Epic).

    Hi there,

I’ve been looking around for a pharmacy clean room verification system for use in our Canadian facilities. Is there a particular product that you have come across (in your experience in Pharm IT) that is particularly cost-effective and useful in compounding labs?

    Any help/guidance will be appreciated.
